i give you henri and margherite! (two characters inspired by knut hamsun’s growth of the soil, which i am currently reading and thoroughly enjoying).

hamsun’s novel is set in northern norway, but i was listening to beirut’s flying club cup album while i was drawing… so i guess these allude to the book’s french version—the one [...]
