Look! Fun neon insignia by London-based artist, Martin Creed.


One of Michel de Broin’s most recent projects is this sculpture: “Dead Star.” He pieced together a collection of dying batteries, combined the lot with urethane & polystyrene, and created this weirdly colorful nebula. The sculpture will slowly cool down as the batteries’ lives gradually extinguish… Knowing that makes the thing seem so alive, no? [...]

I made an accordion book today! It’s called WHITE—and it’s all white. Inside there are six hand-painted (acrylic) white objects: a pillow, a tooth, a milk bottle, an envelope, a lego brick, and a roll of toilet paper…

New job!

I am currently working at Printed Matter, Inc.— the world’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of artists’ books. (Needless to say, I’m very excited to rummage through so much paper and ink). Those of you who are in New York: come by and say hi sometime!


Check it out! Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head (NPSH) is a ferocious fivesome from Seattle, Washington. My brother clued me in to them after I sent him that video by Le Corps Mince de Françoise (LCMDF). What’s not to love? It’s a knapsack shaped like a LEGO brick! (Available online from LEGO, though currently sold out in the USA… doh).
The seven-year-old version of myself could have killed for this thing—it would have been perfect for carrying a bagged lunch and favorite toy to playtime with the neighborhood kids!
